Lake Point Tower – A Building For All Seasons

Beatrice Crain, who moved into Lake Point Tower 40 years ago, said : “Every morning when I awake and glance out my window, God greets me with a new masterpiece.”

Mrs. Crain knows well that views from Lake Point Tower can change by the minute. Rolling clouds and breezes create different water colors and wave patterns. Storm winds bring huge waves that smash into breakwater walls and occasionally wash across Lake Shore Drive.

In winter, Lake Michigan can fill with ice floats, resembling frozen Monet-like water lilies.
